DAYTONA BEACH, FL (February 6, 2015) – The Daytona Beach Symphony Society (DBSS) is happy to announce that the next concert in our 63rd Season will be a performance by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra on Friday at 7:00pm, February 13th at Peabody Auditorium.
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra’s strong, straightforward musical personality has its roots in its close links with Danish and other Nordic music. One of the most compelling young violinists today, Ray Chen, performs, and Cristian Mǎcelaru will be conducting. The program for the evening will feature Sibelius’ Kuolema: Valse Triste, Sibelius’ Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47, and Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4, Op. 29.
