The Prague Philharmonia was founded in 1994 by conductor Jirí Belohlávek to bring a breath of fresh air to the Czech and the global music scene with a contagious enthusiasm and consummate performance. Emmanuel Villaume conducts, with one of the world’s greatest violinists, Sarah Chang, as soloist. Ms. Chang has said her first love is being on stage, and the New York Times celebrates her as “the most consistently satisfying violinist.”
This performance will also feature a rare second soloist, Andrew von Oeyen, piano. Hailed worldwide for his elegant and insightful interpretations, balanced artistry and brilliant technique, Andrew von Oeyen has established himself as one of the most captivating pianists of his generation.
